NEW YORK, United States — US chip giant Nvidia announced it will invest $5 billion in semiconductor maker Intel for the joint development of new products, the companies revealed in a statement on Thursday.

Under the agreement, Nvidia and Intel will collaborate to develop custom data center and PC products. This partnership comes as the artificial intelligence boom drives intense demand for high-performance chips across various industries.
