MANILA, Philippines – Jared Bahay and debuting Kymani Ladi led a stirring comeback as Ateneo defeated Far Eastern University, 86-83, to open the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday at the University of Santo Tomas Quadricentennial Pavilion.
Ateneo rallied from six points down in overtime, with Bahay knocking down two crucial triples to keep the momentum alive. Meanwhile, Ladi, a one-and-done recruit making his debut, scored the go-ahead basket that sealed the victory for the Blue Eagles.
