A large number of professionals believe that human validation is essential for making final hiring decisions, despite the major roles played by artificial intelligence (AI), according to a recent report.
The report by HR solutions provider Genius HRTech highlights scepticism around AI making final hiring decisions. It found that 72% of respondents feel human validation is crucial, while only 15% are open to fully AI-driven decisions if the systems are well-calibrated. Over 10% said AI could be allowed in high-volume junior or fresher hiring roles.
About 27% of the professionals outrightly disliked AI processes for lacking the human touch. The Genius HRTech report is based on inputs from 1,887 professionals across various industries.
Looking ahead, 39% of respondents expect AI to dominate most recruitment processes within the next five years, whereas 33% see AI as a strong support system rather than a replacement for human recruiters.
