**Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Highlights PM Modi’s Decision to Reduce GST Rates**
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vital decision to reduce Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates, bringing 99% of goods under the 5% GST bracket. Speaking to the media following the Prime Minister’s address to the nation, he noted that the auspicious beginning of Navratri coincided with this significant tax reform, which is intended to benefit the nation as a whole.
This initiative aims to ensure that even the vulnerable sections of society experience an increase in income. Emphasizing support for local industry, the Chief Minister appealed to people to purchase goods produced by the MSME sector, thereby promoting the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Made in India’ campaigns.
**Chief Minister to Engage with Traders and Customers in Chawk Bazaar**
As part of ongoing efforts to promote awareness about the new GST structure, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will participate in the publicity campaign titled ‘Next Generation GST’ in the Chawk Bazaar area on Monday. He will interact directly with customers and traders to discuss the details of the new GST regime and address their queries.
The programme will begin at 2:30 PM at the Bhawani Mandir in Sombara Chawk. Following this, the Chief Minister will visit the Curfew Wali Mata Mandir to pay his respects.
He will then proceed to a saree shop in Chawk Bazaar, where he will engage in discussions with customers and traders about the GST reforms. During this visit, he will also distribute GST resolution leaflets to traders. In addition, CM Yadav plans to purchase clothes made from indigenous handloom and Khadi, reinforcing support for traditional crafts.
At 3:00 PM, the Chief Minister will arrive at the Motilal Mannulal Dharamshala to interact with around 300 representatives from various commercial and social organizations.
This outreach programme reflects the state government’s commitment to ensuring smooth implementation of GST reforms while strengthening the local economy.
