MANILA, Philippines – Coach Goldwin Monteverde admitted that University of the Philippines simply had no answer for University of Santo Tomas’ debuting foreign student-athlete Collins Akowe in Sunday’s 87-67 loss, which opened their UAAP title defense.
Akowe asserted himself right from the beginning and finished with 29 points and 17 rebounds as the Growling Tigers dominated the game.
