After eight years of serving as the godfather of the University of the Philippines (UP) Men’s Basketball Team, businessman Januario Jesus “JJ” Atencio has bid the Maroons farewell this University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 88.
Atencio’s decision to step down comes due to “personal reasons.” However, he also felt that the time had come for a change.
