India has extended the closure of its airspace for Pakistani civilian and military aircraft until October 24. Similarly, Pakistan has also closed its airspace for Indian aircraft until the same date.

Both countries have maintained these airspace restrictions since April, following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives on April 22. The decisions were communicated through separate Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) issued by India and Pakistan.

According to the NOTAM issued by India on September 23, Indian airspace will remain closed to Pakistan-registered aircraft, as well as aircraft operated, owned, or leased by Pakistani airlines and operators, including military flights. The closure is effective until 23:59 UTC on October 23, which corresponds to 05:30 IST on October 24.

The initial closure of Indian airspace to Pakistani aircraft began on April 30, shortly after the Pahalgam attack. Since then, the airspace restrictions have been extended periodically.

For clarity, a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) is an official notification containing essential information for personnel involved in flight operations.
