Earlier this year, Sifu developer Sloclap released its take on the beautiful game of soccer with *Rematch*. The game was an early success for the studio, though it did launch with a few issues. One of the main setbacks was that the team couldn’t get crossplay working in time for the game’s release.
Fortunately, the wait for this feature is now over. *Rematch* is kicking off Season 1 with the introduction of crossplay across all platforms. This new functionality allows all *Rematch* players to play together, whether they are on PC (Steam or the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S.
With crossplay enabled, players can come together for casual matches or dive into the new 3v3 Ranked mode. This competitive mode opens the doors for *Rematch* players to prove who the best squads really are.
Alongside the crossplay update, the new Season Pass is now available. It features fresh cosmetics and arenas, including the frosty Iceberg and the sweltering Volcano, adding new variety and excitement to the game.
The omission of crossplay was one of the negatives highlighted in Shacknews’ *Rematch* review. However, there were plenty of positives cited as well—such as the fluid gameplay, immersive environments, and a high skill ceiling.
*Rematch* didn’t take long to resonate with fans of the sport, hitting 3 million unique players in its first week. With crossplay now live and Season 1 underway, the game is set to bring even more players together and elevate the competitive soccer experience.
