**THDC India Limited and MAHAGENCO Renewable Energy Limited Sign MoU to Boost New Age Renewable Energy Projects**
THDC India Limited (THDCIL) and MAHAGENCO Renewable Energy Limited (MREL), Maharashtra, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of New Age Renewable Energy projects. This collaboration aims to facilitate the delivery of clean and affordable energy from diverse sources, effectively accelerating the implementation of the NetZero strategy.
The MoU was signed in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in the presence of Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Minister of Home, Law and Judiciary, Water Resources and Command Area Development, Energy, and Protocol, Government of Maharashtra.
Fadnavis extended his heartfelt congratulations to the management teams of THDCIL and MREL for the successful signing of this landmark MoU. He also conveyed full support and cooperation to ensure the effective implementation and early completion of these projects.
R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Limited, expressed his best wishes on this significant development. He affirmed THDCIL’s commitment to the sustainable development of the nation through innovative energy solutions and leveraging its expertise in executing landmark power projects.

**Planned Projects Under the MoU**
The projects planned under this MoU include:
– Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia production (50 kTPA)
– Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 500 MWh
– Hybrid Solar projects totaling 250 MW
– Solar power projects amounting to 500 MW
– Floating Solar installations of 250 MW
– Wind and Offshore Wind projects with a capacity of 500 MW
– Self-identified Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) totaling 2200 MW
The MoU was signed by Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), THDCIL, and Dr. P. Anbalagan, Chairman, MREL.
Bhupender Gupta emphasized THDCIL’s steadfast commitment to India’s clean energy goals. He stated that this MoU represents not only a pledge to advance the country’s energy infrastructure but also a significant step towards realizing a shared vision of sustainable and renewable energy growth.
