The Indian Railways has launched seven new trains in Bihar as of Monday, aiming to enhance connectivity across the state and promote economic growth. Among these, three are Amrit Bharat Express trains that link Bihar with various key locations across India. All the new services will be operated and maintained by the East Central Railway (ECR) zone.

**Connectivity Boost Across Bihar**

Out of the seven new trains, four will operate within Bihar itself, connecting major cities and towns to improve regional travel. The remaining three — the Amrit Bharat Express trains — will run longer routes, connecting Bihar with other states, thereby expanding the state’s rail connectivity significantly.

According to Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, these new train services are expected to provide “affordable and convenient travel options for low and middle-income families,” supporting inclusive growth in the region.

**Inaugural Event**

The new trains were flagged off from Patna Junction in a ceremony attended by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. The Minister officially gave the symbolic green flag through video conferencing. Ahead of the launch, Vaishnaw announced on social media platform X that “Starting from tomorrow, 3 new Amrit Bharat Express trains will begin operations.”

This announcement comes at a crucial time when the dates for the Bihar Assembly elections are likely to be finalized.

**Details of the New Services**

The newly introduced trains include:

– Muzaffarpur-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express
– Darbhanga-Madar Amrit Bharat Express
– Chhapra-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express
– Danapur-Jhajha Fast Passenger
– Patna-Buxar Fast Passenger
– Patna-Nawada DEMU Passenger
– Patna-Islampur DEMU Passenger

Passengers interested in traveling on these routes can find detailed information about train timings, fares, and booking options on the IRCTC website or the official Indian Railways portal.

These new services mark a significant step forward in improving rail travel convenience and accessibility in Bihar and beyond.
