Hill injured his left leg while making a catch near the sideline on a third down play. ESPN captured video showing his leg bending in directions it normally shouldn’t, raising immediate concern. He was quickly loaded onto a cart and taken off the field, receiving well-wishes from members of both teams.
More updates on Hill’s condition are expected from the Dolphins, but the injury did not look like one he would recover from anytime soon.
Despite the setback, the Dolphins continued their drive. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa connected with tight end Darren Waller for a touchdown a few plays later. It marked Waller’s second touchdown catch of the game.
