A person is currently in the hospital following a shooting that occurred Tuesday night in Wake Forest.
According to a spokesperson for the town, the incident took place near the 5500 block of Mill Dam Road, close to Winter Jasmine Lane.
The spokesperson confirmed that one individual was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities also informed WRAL News that a suspect in connection with the shooting is now in custody.
The town emphasized that this was an isolated incident, and the investigation is still ongoing.
