On the occasion of Vijayadashami, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which is celebrating its centenary, performed traditional shastra pujan and conducted processions across the city.

According to information received, processions were held at 21 major locations throughout the city. The enthusiasm and dedication of the participating volunteers were prominently felt. In addition to the processions, traditional shastra pujan ceremonies were performed at 154 different places.

Since this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the Sangh workers have intensified their efforts, demonstrating noteworthy spontaneous participation. The active involvement of the youth was particularly significant.

The processions in Nashik city were especially eye-catching in areas such as Gangapur Road, Indiranagar, Raviwar Karanja, Panchavati, Bhadrakali, Nashik Road, Bhagur, Deolali, and Makhamalabad, among others.

According to the city Sanghchalak, Dr. Vijay Malpathak, and chief office bearer Suhas Vaidya, around eleven thousand volunteers participated in the processions this year.

Traditional shastra pujan was also performed at notable institutions such as the Bhonsla Military Institute in the city. Moreover, a shastra pujan program was held at the Bhishmaraj Bam Memorial Shooting Range located in Satpur.

These events highlight the vibrant spirit and commitment of the RSS volunteers as they celebrate a century of their organization’s establishment.
