Arshad Warsi’s extended cameo as Ghafoor in the Netflix series *The Bads of Bollywood* has become a hot topic among fans and critics alike. In a recent interview, Warsi opened up about how he took on the role without hearing the script or fully understanding his character.

**Instant Agreement Without a Script**

Warsi shared with *Mid-Day* that when director Aryan Khan approached him for the role, he agreed to it immediately. “When Aryan said he needed me for two days, I simply asked, ‘When do you want me to come?’ Then he was trying to sell the role to me. I did it without hearing the script or my role,” said Warsi. He also expressed his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan and his family, stating, “The amount Shah Rukh has done for the film industry, I think it owes him!”

**Character Inspired by Shah Rukh Khan**

The look of Warsi’s character, Ghafoor, was designed by Aryan Khan and took inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic character in *Raees*. Warsi’s entry song in the series quickly became a fan favorite. “Wherever I enter now, they start playing the song. It’s because of the song that my character has become so popular,” he remarked. Although the role was quirky and a bit bizarre, Warsi trusted Khan’s creative vision completely.

**A Father-Son Parallel on Set**

Working closely with Aryan Khan, Warsi noticed distinct similarities between the young director and his superstar father. “Aryan is also hard-working like his father. Also, they both don’t sleep. The abundant energy they have is unbelievable,” he observed. Shah Rukh Khan even visited the set during Warsi’s shoot and offered insights on the role. Warsi praised SRK’s potential as a filmmaker, saying, “The day SRK directs, he will be a very good director.”

**Upcoming Projects: Serious Cop Role**

Looking ahead, Arshad Warsi will be seen in *Bhagwat Chapter One: Rakshas*, directed by Akshay Shere. “After *Seher*, this is the first time I’m playing a serious cop,” Warsi confirmed. The ZEE5 film stars Jitendra Kumar of *Panchayat* fame and promises to be an intriguing watch.

Meanwhile, *The Bads of Bollywood*, featuring a stellar cast including Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Lakshya, and Raghav Juyal, was released on Netflix in September and continues to attract viewers worldwide.
