**Hunter and Jett Lawrence Lead Team Australia to Second Consecutive Motocross of Nations Victory at Ironman Raceway**
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana — At Ironman Raceway, Team Australia secured their second consecutive Motocross of Nations title, powered by outstanding performances from Hunter and Jett Lawrence. Hunter Lawrence won two motos, while Jett Lawrence took the opening race, cementing Australia’s dominance in the event.
“I’m at a loss for words right now,” Hunter said from the top of the podium. “Come check with me later and I will have a lot to say. I am so proud of the team. Kyle (Webster) rode his heart out, but got put on the ground in both first turns and charged back. Jett had an unreal first moto. Australia: we did it, baby, back-to-back.”
Team USA experienced a seesaw of results throughout the event. Eli Tomac finished fourth in Moto 1 and improved to second in Moto 2. Justin Cooper recorded 10th place finishes in both of his races. Unfortunately, RJ Hampshire crashed on the final lap of Race 2, dropping him from fourth to seventh in that race.

### Race Highlights and Individual Performances
**Moto 1 (MXGP + MX2)**
Belgium’s Lucas Coenen earned the holeshot with Ken Roczen closely behind. However, Roczen crashed early and was buried deep in the pack. Jett Lawrence showcased his talent with a strong start that quickly evolved into a commanding lead, which he maintained for all 16 laps. Maintaining a lead of seven to eight seconds, he paced himself and forced Coenen to push hard for second place. Slovakia’s Tim Gajser finished third.
Team USA placed both riders in the top 10, with Eli Tomac finishing fourth after starting fifth — a notable improvement from his qualifying race where he started 35th and finished ninth. Justin Cooper started 12th and steadily moved up to 11th by Lap 5. After a collision involving Sacha Coenen and Cooper on the white flag lap, Cooper advanced into the top 10 and was the highest-finishing MX2 rider.
France also performed well in the opening moto, with Romain Febvre finishing fifth and Mathis Valin ninth. By the end of Moto 1, the USA and France were tied for the lead in the overall standings, with Australia just one point behind.
Kyle Webster, Australia’s MX2 rider, unfortunately went down on the first lap but continued racing.

**Moto 2 (Open + MX2)**
Hunter Lawrence made it two-for-two by grabbing an early lead and dominating Moto 2. He made a rare mistake midway through the race in a slick corner but maintained his massive advantage throughout.
RJ Hampshire had a dramatic race after advancing from fifth to second early on. He made contact with SuperMotocross Champion Jo Shimoda, who reclaimed second place. Hampshire lost a couple of positions but fought back into the podium positions before crashing multiple times and ultimately finishing seventh.
Shimoda held on to second place, while Slovenia’s Jan Pancar completed the podium in third after being involved in one of Hampshire’s accidents. Belgium’s Liam Everts and France’s Maxime Renaux rounded out the top five. Justin Cooper finished 10th again, helping Team USA sweep the top 10 in the first two races. However, Hampshire’s late crash caused Team USA to fall one position behind Australia in overall scoring.

**Moto 3 (MXGP + Open)**
Hunter Lawrence took the lead on the first lap of the final race and remained unchallenged throughout. Jo Shimoda earned the holeshot and raced with the leaders but, due to his inexperience on the 450 class bike, he dropped behind Eli Tomac and Jett Lawrence.
Tomac started modestly, moving up from fifth to fourth by Lap 3, then taking over second place on Lap 10 after a battle with Shimoda. Lucas Coenen led the Lawrence brothers on the first lap, but Hunter quickly moved into second. Jett fell early and dropped outside the top 10 but fought back to finish third.
Ken Roczen crashed again in Turn 2, marking his second crash. RJ Hampshire had another crash and fell from 13th to outside the top 20 before retiring on Lap 11 — this final retirement negatively impacted Team USA’s overall score. Coenen also crashed on Lap 8.

### Final Standings and Summary
Team Australia’s consistency and the standout performances of Hunter and Jett Lawrence secured their back-to-back Motocross of Nations titles. Despite strong efforts and promising results from Team USA’s Eli Tomac and Justin Cooper, multiple crashes and retirements hampered Team USA’s chances of reclaiming the title.
