The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has ordered the immediate closure of the studio premises where the popular Kannada reality show *Bigg Boss Kannada* is filmed. This decision comes following the discovery of serious violations of environmental regulations at the Bidadi site in Bengaluru South district.
### Regulatory Breach: Studio Operated Without Necessary Permissions
According to the notice issued on Monday to Vels Studios and Entertainment Private Limited (also known as Jolly Wood Studios & Adventures), the *Bigg Boss* studio has been functioning without acquiring the essential Consent for Establishment and Consent for Operation. These permissions are mandated under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The KSPCB has made it clear that if the order to halt all activities is not adhered to immediately, the studio may face penal action under relevant environmental laws.
### Coordination with Other Authorities
In an effort to enforce this closure, the KSPCB has also forwarded the notice to several other authorities. These include the Deputy Commissioner of Ramanagara District, the Managing Director of BESCOM, and the Executive Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) of Ramanagara Taluk. Their coordination is sought to ensure strict compliance with the closure directive.
