The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has ordered the immediate closure of the studio premises where the popular Kannada reality show *Bigg Boss* is filmed. This sudden decision comes after serious environmental violations were discovered at the Bidadi site in Bengaluru South district.
**Regulatory Breach Discovered**
According to the notice issued on Monday to Vels Studios and Entertainment Private Limited (Jolly Wood Studios & Adventures), the *Bigg Boss* studio was operating without the mandatory consents required under environmental laws. Specifically, the production did not obtain the necessary Consent for Establishment and Consent for Operation under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The KSPCB has demanded an immediate halt to all activities on the premises and has warned that failure to comply will result in penal action under the relevant environmental regulations.
**Wider Coordination to Enforce Closure**
To ensure the directive is enforced, the KSPCB has sent copies of the closure notice to other authorities, including the Deputy Commissioner of Ramanagara District, the Managing Director of BESCOM, and the Executive Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) of Ramanagara Taluk. This coordinated effort aims to oversee the shutdown and prevent any unauthorized activities.
**Impact on Bigg Boss Kannada**
*Bigg Boss Kannada* Season 12, hosted by the well-known actor Kichcha Sudeep, enjoys a huge fan following. The sudden closure has left fans wondering when the shooting will resume and the show will return to their screens.
