The 46-year-old foreign national, originally from Anambra State, Nigeria, and currently residing in Hyderabad, has been involved in various business ventures across Nigeria and Cameroon. After spending seven years working as a heavy truck conductor in Cameroon, he returned to Nigeria seeking better opportunities. There, he attempted to start an optical business but faced financial setbacks, according to official sources.

On August 14, 2014, he arrived in India on a Medical Visa valid until September 23, 2014, landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. He initially worked at a restaurant for three years while simultaneously exporting clothes to Nigeria. Due to irregular salary payments by the restaurant management, he later moved to Bangalore, joining another restaurant until eventually relocating to Hyderabad.

In September 2024, he settled in Hyderabad’s Attapur area, renting a house. During this period, he started procuring Ganja from Pune and Mumbai, selling it at higher prices in Hyderabad to earn quick money and maintain a lavish lifestyle.

His visa expired on September 23, 2014, and his passport on January 16, 2016. Since then, he has been residing illegally in India, associating with drug peddlers and engaging in unlawful activities. He was apprehended by authorities after being found wandering suspiciously within the jurisdiction of Tolichowki Police Station.

During interrogation, he failed to provide valid documents or a reasonable explanation for his stay in Hyderabad. Upon further enquiry, he admitted to overstaying in India without a valid visa or passport.

To facilitate his deportation back to Nigeria, the H-NEW team initiated the process in coordination with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Hyderabad. An Emergency Travel Document was issued by the Nigerian High Commission in New Delhi, as both his passport and visa had expired. Additionally, an Exit Permit was obtained from FRRO, Hyderabad.

His travel arrangements were made from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, with the deportation scheduled for the early hours of October 9, 2025. A team led by Inspector G. S. Daniel from H-NEW escorted and deported Onuorah Solomon Chibueze to Nigeria on this date, effectively preventing him from engaging in any activities detrimental to national security.

The apprehension and deportation operation was carried out by Inspector G. S. Daniel, H-NEW, Sub-Inspector C. Venkata Ramulu of the Police, along with H-NEW staff.
