Dashing Indian opener Smriti Mandhana has created history by becoming the youngest and fastest player to score 5,000 runs in Women’s One Day Internationals (WODIs). She achieved this remarkable milestone during the ICC Women’s World Cup match against Australia held in Visakhapatnam. Mandhana’s innings of 80 runs off just 66 balls displayed a brilliant blend of aggression and grace. Although India lost the match, Mandhana’s feat was the highlight.

### 1. Smriti Mandhana – 112 Innings
Mandhana leads this elite list, reaching the 5,000-run mark in only 112 innings. She became the fifth cricketer overall to achieve this milestone. Since her WODI debut in 2013, Mandhana has accumulated 5,222 runs at an impressive average of 47.37. She currently holds the joint second-most centuries in WODIs with 13, alongside New Zealand’s Suzie Bates. The only player ahead of them is Australia’s Meg Lanning, who has 15 centuries. Additionally, Mandhana has registered 33 half-centuries in the format.
### 2. Stafanie Taylor – 129 Innings
Mandhana surpassed West Indies’ Stafanie Taylor, who reached 5,000 runs in her 129th innings back in 2021. Taylor, one of the game’s greatest all-rounders, has scored 5,873 runs from 170 WODI matches at an average of 42.25. Her record includes seven centuries and 41 fifties. Besides her batting prowess, Taylor has taken 155 wickets with her off-spin at an average of 22.22, making her the fourth-highest run-scorer in the history of the format.
### 3. Suzie Bates – 136 Innings
New Zealand’s Suzie Bates ranks third on the list, achieving the milestone in 136 innings. The White Ferns legend has played 174 WODI matches, amassing 5,925 runs at an average of 39.23. Only India’s Mithali Raj (7,805 runs) and England’s Charlotte Edwards (5,992 runs) have scored more in the format. Bates has notched up 13 centuries and 37 half-centuries during her prolific career.
