Nepal and Oman have officially secured their places in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka. Both teams confirmed their qualification during the Super Six stage of the Asia-EAP Regional Final in Al Amerat.

They will be joining a strong lineup of teams including India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, the United States, West Indies, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Canada, and Italy at the highly anticipated event.

**Qualification Details**

Nepal and Oman’s qualification was confirmed following the UAE’s 77-run victory over Samoa. This result strengthened UAE’s hold on the third qualifying spot in the standings.

Out of the six teams competing, three will advance to the 20-team World Cup, slated to take place from February 6 to March 7, 2026. This edition marks the second time the T20 World Cup will feature 20 teams, following the inaugural 20-team format introduced in 2024.

**A Look at Past Performances**

This tournament will mark the third World Cup appearance for both Nepal and Oman. Oman previously qualified in 2016 and 2024, while Nepal made their earlier appearances in 2014 and 2024.

Currently, both teams are leading their respective groups during the Super Six stage of the qualifier tournament.

**The Road Ahead**

With their recent victory, UAE now have four points in the group and face a challenge from Japan for the final World Cup spot. Japan, with two games remaining—including a crucial match against UAE—could potentially overtake the UAE if they win both of their upcoming games within the next three days.

Stay tuned as the race to the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup continues to heat up!
