President Donald Trump recently took to Truth Social to criticize the ongoing renovation of the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel, describing the situation as a “complete architectural catastrophe.”

“The United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel has been a CONSTRUCTION DISASTER from the time it was built in 1962,” Trump posted. He added that earlier reports indicated the chapel experienced leaks from the very first day, calling that the “good part.”

The extensive renovation project has been underway since 2019. Last month, Pete Hegseth’s Defense Department approved an additional $90 million to help complete the work. The total cost of the renovation is now expected to exceed $330 million, with the chapel’s reopening delayed until 2028, according to reports.

In his post, Trump called for an investigation into the prolonged issues, emphasizing the impact on cadets. “This mess should be investigated. Very unfair to the Cadets A COMPLETE ARCHITECTURAL CATASTROPHE!” he wrote.
