Battlefield 6 has been out for little more than a couple of weeks now, and overall, it has been mostly enjoyable with only a few caveats. One common complaint among players is that the progression through ranks and attachment upgrades feels too slow. Many have called for a buff to XP gain and some have resorted to XP farming through methods like bot matches.
The good news is that Battlefield 6’s latest update brings improvements to normal progression. However, the bad news is that popular XP farming methods are expected to be nerfed in the near future.
### Details of the Progression Changes
Battlefield Studios shared the specifics of these progression changes on the official Battlefield social media channels this week. Here’s a summary of the key updates:
– **Match Completion XP per minute** has been increased by **10%**.
– **XP from Daily Challenges** has been boosted by **40%**.
– The **XP needed to unlock the first 20 Attachment Ranks** has been reduced.
**Please Note:** For weapons that are already being progressed, the UI might initially display inaccurate information. This issue will resolve once a match has been played using that weapon.
Additionally, assignments that previously required Career Ranks 20, 23, and 26 to begin now require Career Ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively.
### Ongoing Improvements and Future Updates
As mentioned in the Community Update, the developers are aware of the frustrations related to the challenges themselves. They are actively reviewing these challenges, but making further changes will take additional time to develop, test, and implement.
While these updates mean regular progression has been buffed and players will unlock attachments and weapons faster, an accompanying community announcement addressed concerns about XP farming.
This week’s update does not include any immediate changes to XP farming through bot matches. However, Battlefield Studios has warned that changes to XP farming methods are necessary and will be implemented in the future.
Stay tuned for more updates as the team continues to refine the Battlefield 6 experience.
