Marvel Rivals has been thriving as a PvP game since its release at the end of 2024. Now, players will soon have the chance to dive into some PvE action with their favorite heroes and villains. The developers have announced an exciting new Marvel Zombies mode that will challenge groups of players to face increasingly dangerous hordes of undead enemies. This mode is set to launch in an update coming next week.
NetEase Games revealed the details of the Marvel Zombies mode in a recent developer video shared on Marvel Rivals’ social media channels. Starting October 23, 2025, players will be able to jump into this new mode, which is inspired by and coincides with the Marvel Zombies animated series that recently debuted on Disney+.
Following the classic zombie mode formula, teams of up to four players will battle waves of undead hordes, striving to survive for as long as possible as the intensity ramps up with each wave. From the initial gameplay footage, Marvel Rivals’ take on the Zombies mode looks fairly straightforward, but it promises plenty of fun moments as players take on the undead as characters like Blade, Thor, Magik, and others.
Importantly, Marvel Zombies marks one of Marvel Rivals’ first ventures into PvE content, potentially setting the stage for future events and expansions. The timing also makes it a perfect fit for some Halloween-themed excitement.
