Central Texas police departments, including the city of Austin, have been awarded nearly $600,000 in funding through the U.S. Department of Justice Community Policing Development Microgrants program.
This grant, announced in a press release from U.S. Senator John Cornyn’s (R-Texas) office, aims to support initiatives that enhance community policing efforts across the region.
The funding will provide critical resources to help local law enforcement agencies strengthen their engagement with the communities they serve, promoting safety and cooperation.
