However, Kerr opted for a small-ball approach to open the new season. His starting lineup featured Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga, and Draymond Green.
On the other side, Lakers coach JJ Redick faced challenges adjusting the lineup because of LeBron James’ injury. Redick also went with a smaller lineup consisting of Luka Doncic, Gabe Vincent, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and Deandre Ayton.
