The Recon class features a powerful UAV drone that players can call in during a match. This drone spots and marks any enemy within 100 meters of your location for 60 seconds, giving you and your team a significant tactical advantage. However, unlocking and deploying the UAV mid-match can be a bit challenging.

### How to Call in a UAV

To unlock the UAV, you need to max out the Recon training path, also known as the Field Specs, during a multiplayer match. This training path is displayed on the right side of your screen as a series of boxes representing passive benefits. You earn these benefits by accumulating XP during the match.

As you gain XP, the lowest box on the training path will start to fill. Once the box is completely full, it locks in, and you receive the corresponding benefit. Any additional XP earned then contributes to filling the next box, moving you step-by-step closer to unlocking the UAV.

The UAV becomes available once you’ve fully unlocked its specific box on the training path. On PC, press the **6** key to call it in. For controller users, press both bumpers simultaneously—**RB + LB** on Xbox controllers or **R1 + L1** on PlayStation controllers.

### Important Tips

Keep in mind that XP progress towards unlocking the UAV slowly decays over time if you don’t continuously earn XP. For instance, if you’re halfway through filling the UAV box but stop earning XP for a short period, your progress will begin to drain. To successfully deploy the UAV, stay active in the match and keep racking up XP to lock in each benefit and reach the UAV unlock box.

Mastering the Recon training path and knowing when to call in the UAV can greatly improve your situational awareness and give your team the upper hand on the battlefield.
