### Why This Cause Matters
Rise & Shine Bakery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to workforce development. It provides free training to individuals facing significant barriers to employment, including those experiencing homelessness, individuals in addiction recovery, formerly incarcerated persons, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, and single mothers living in poverty.
The mission is simple yet powerful: equip participants with the skills, stability, and career pathways needed to earn a living wage in the baking industry.

### How the Program Works
Participants enroll in a comprehensive 12-week training program that combines:
– Professional baking and pastry instruction
– Soft skills development
– ServSafe certification
– Case management
– Job placement support
To help trainees succeed, the program offers a training stipend and transportation assistance, addressing common challenges that might otherwise prevent completion. Graduates leave with industry credentials and direct connections to employment opportunities.
