Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco has reached a significant milestone in his NFL career on Sunday, achieving something he hasn’t done in nearly a decade.

According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, Flacco scored his first rushing touchdown since Week 15 of the 2017 season when he was a member of the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals were taking on the New York Jets at the time, with Cincinnati entering the game with a 3-4 record while the Jets remained winless.

Flacco, who joined the Bengals after starting the season with the Cleveland Browns, rushed for a first-quarter touchdown on a one-yard run, scampering into the end zone against New York. He was playing due to an injury to Bengals’ starting quarterback Joe Burrow.

In addition to the touchdown, Flacco made history as the oldest player to score a touchdown in Bengals franchise history, according to NFL researcher Dante Koplowitz-Fleming. At 40 years old, Flacco continues to showcase his experience and skill on the field.

Flacco has looked sharp for Cincinnati this season. After being traded from the Browns to the Bengals, he recently threw for 342 passing yards and three touchdown passes in a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The quarterback’s performance has not gone unnoticed on social media. New York Post reporter Brian Costello commented on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “Flacco shows what having a mobile (quarterback) can do for a team,” following his rushing touchdown.

Joe Flacco is a well-traveled NFL veteran. After winning a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens, he went on to play for teams including the New York Jets and Denver Broncos, among others. His continued contributions on the field highlight his enduring talent and leadership.
