On many Samsung smartphones, especially mid-range and high-end models, the Camera app offers a Pro mode. This mode lets you customize various aspects of the camera, such as focal length, shutter speed, exposure level, ISO value, Kelvin value, and white balance. These options enable you to capture photos exactly the way you want.
With the upcoming One UI 8.5 update, when you use Pro mode and adjust these camera settings, you will be able to save your customized settings as a preset. This means you can easily load the preset the next time you want to take a photo using the same camera configuration.
Moreover, One UI 8.5 is expected to allow sharing of these presets with other Galaxy phones. According to Android Authority, the update’s code contains references indicating that the Camera app’s Pro mode will support creating and saving presets. It also suggests that users can share their presets with other Galaxy smartphones via Quick Share.
Samsung is anticipated to debut One UI 8.5 alongside the Galaxy S26 series. However, the launch of the Galaxy S26 lineup has been delayed, which may also impact the release timeline for One UI 8.5.
Stay tuned for more updates as Samsung prepares to introduce these new camera capabilities.
