BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Salvation Army has announced the closure of its North Tonawanda thrift store, citing concerns over property conditions as the primary reason.

Located on Payne Avenue, the store played a significant role in raising funds to support rehabilitation programs offered to individuals at no cost. In addition to fundraising, it collaborated closely with The Salvation Army’s social services office to provide clothing, furniture, and bargain goods to families in need.

The closure marks the end of an important community resource that combined charitable fundraising with direct support for local residents.
