Heidi Klum is once again claiming the crown as Queen of Halloween. The Project Runway host stunned fans when she appeared in a spectacular head-to-tail Medusa costume alongside her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who was dressed as the warrior she famously turned to stone. The couple made their grand entrance at her 2025 Halloween party in New York City on October 31.

As they walked the red carpet at the Hard Rock Hotel: The Venue on Music Row, Heidi and Tom revealed that this incredible couples costume had been in the works for just five months. “No big deal,” Heidi told E! News exclusively before entering the party. “Everything is hand-painted. About 15 people have been working on this, and I think they did a fantastic job.”

Getting into character took around 10 hours for both of them, but no detail was overlooked. From the wired snakes mechanically writhing atop Heidi’s head to her scaly tail and Tom’s completely gray-stone exterior, the craftsmanship was impeccable.

Heidi shared her inspiration for the costume while speaking carefully through her terrifying Gorgon teeth: “I’ve been thinking about Medusa for quite some time because I’ve seen over the years obviously many, many Medusas. I thought, you know, one day I’m going to try my own. I really wanted to have snakes that were moving, a super-ugly, super-scary face, really ugly teeth, and to be like a really long rattlesnake.” Mission accomplished.

As for Tom, he joked, “There’s not much I could do other than being the man who got turned to stone. So that’s me, and I think they did an amazing job.” Heidi, however, noted somewhat wistfully, “You still look like you.”

Heidi wasn’t the only celebrity turning heads at her annual Halloween bash. Charli D’Amelio, Coco Jones, Julia Fox, James Charles, and Jonathan Van Ness also showcased stunning costumes for the occasion.

It’s no secret that Heidi — mother to Leni Klum (21), Henry (20), Johan (18), and Lou (16), with ex-husband Seal — planned to go all out for her 2025 party. In fact, she revealed that her epic Medusa costume was already underway when October began. On October 1, the 52-year-old shared a photo of a 3D mold of her face on Instagram and captioned it, “This is just the beginning.”
