OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi sacked LaNorris Sellers six times as the No. 7 Rebels held off an upset-minded South Carolina, securing a 30-14 victory on Saturday night.
Ole Miss, ranked third in the SEC and ninth nationally in total offense, appeared rather pedestrian in the game. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss completed just 12 of 21 passes, throwing one touchdown and one interception.
Despite the performance, the Rebels managed to maintain control and come away with the win.
