Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced on Sunday that thousands of illegal migrants have been removed from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
California led all states during that year, distributing 273,000 food stamp benefits to noncitizens. Following California, Florida distributed 238,000 benefits, while New York provided 218,000 benefits to noncitizens.
This announcement highlights ongoing efforts to ensure that SNAP benefits are distributed appropriately and helps maintain the integrity of the program nationwide.
