After the historic success of *Chavva*, producer Dinesh Vijan is collaborating once again with Vicky Kaushal on another timeless epic titled *Mahavatar*. The film will be directed by Amar Kaushik, known for *Stree 2*, and is based on the life of Chiranjeevi Parashurama.

The writing process for this epic is currently in full swing. Insiders reveal that Maddock Films is planning to mount the project on an unprecedented scale, promising a grand cinematic experience.

**Vicky Kaushal and Amar Kaushik Embrace Spiritual Preparation**

Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned that both Vicky Kaushal and Amar Kaushik have decided to quit non-vegetarian food and alcohol as part of their preparation for *Mahavatar*.

“A film like *Mahavatar* requires complete focus, and the duo is fully committed to making it a pure spectacle for the audience,” shared sources. They plan to kick off their preparation with a grand pooja ceremony around mid-2025.

Currently, Amar Kaushik is working on the pre-visualization of *Mahavatar*, while Vicky is focused on completing his other project, *Love And War*, which is currently running behind schedule.

“Amar has already given up non-veg food and alcohol, while Vicky will start his regimen once he wraps up the shoot for *Love And War*. This is his way of showing respect to the role of Lord Parashurama,” insiders added.

**Production and Release Timeline**

*Mahavatar* is slated to go on floors towards the end of 2026, with a planned release in 2028. The film will require approximately one year of production, followed by six months of post-production due to extensive VFX work involved in creating the film’s world.
