Proposal 4 has attracted significant media attention in recent months as it would approve a $1 trillion compensation package for Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The world’s richest man has been campaigning extensively online for shareholders to vote in favor of this proposal.
Musk claims that this unprecedented pay package is tied to controlling the “robot army” Tesla is developing. He has also publicly criticized Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and Glass Lewis & Co., labeling them “corporate terrorists” for opposing the package.
