Camp Randall Stadium was alive again. Music blared from the sound system as fans rushed the field. It was the type of scene most Wisconsin Badgers fans have been aching to see under coach Luke Fickell.
They got it on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Badgers secured a 13-10 win over No. 23 Washington, snapping several losing streaks in the process. The University of Wisconsin (3-6, 1-5 Big Ten) had lost six straight games, 11 in a row to Power Four conference opponents, and was 0-10 against ranked opponents during the Fickell era.
This victory marked a significant turning point for the team and its supporters.
We invite you to share your thoughts and questions about the game, as well as about athletic director Chris McIntosh’s decision to retain Luke Fickell for the 2026 season.
