During the Maddening Pain side quest in the *Mysteria Ecclesiae* DLC for *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you will need to find some ginger for a special concoction. Normally, this ingredient would be something you could purchase, but since there are no shops within the monastery, you’ll have to search elsewhere.
The good news is that you can find an ample supply of ginger inside the monastery itself. Head to the infirmary and locate the alchemy room at the back. To the right of the door leading into this room, there is a cabinet filled with various supplies.
Open the cabinet, and you’ll find plenty of useful items such as charcoal and a variety of dried herbs. Most importantly, there is also some ginger available here.
Once you have the ginger, you can proceed to make the potion for Maddie. However, be sure to complete this step before finishing the *Anamnesis* quest. If you finish *Anamnesis* first, you will no longer be able to complete the *Maddening Pain* quest.
