VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) — Rakim Chaney led Valparaiso to a 68-63 victory over Nicholls on Wednesday, scoring a game-high 24 points. Chaney also contributed six rebounds, helping the Beacons improve their record to 2-1.
Owen Dease supported the effort with 13 points, while Shon Tupuola added 10 points for Valparaiso.
For Nicholls, Trae English finished with 14 points in the loss, with teammates Sincere Malone and Zaiden Cross each scoring 11 points. The Colonels fell to 0-3 with the defeat.
