The teams at Dreamhaven and Moonshot Games are continuing to keep the galactic crew-based PvP adventure game *Wildgate* updated with exciting new ways to play. On Thursday, Moonshot detailed the game’s biggest update so far through both its website and a special developer stream.

The *Emergence* update is headlined by two new game modes: **Treasure Hunt** and **Fleet Battle**.

### Treasure Hunt: A More Relaxed PvP Experience

Treasure Hunt is described as a more relaxed iteration of *Wildgate*’s core PvP experience. In this mode, teams must grab as much loot as they can and make a clean getaway. While it shares some similarities with the main PvP mode, there are a few key differences:

– Three Wildgates are always open, eliminating the need to hunt for an Artifact.
– PvP combat is entirely optional; however, crews eager for more loot can challenge other teams and attempt to steal their haul.
– Teams can have up to three players, accommodating the new Outlaw ship, which holds only two players.

While Treasure Hunt sounds more streamlined and a bit easier, crews that linger too long in search of extra loot will face increasingly difficult resistance from CPU-controlled hostiles.

### Fleet Battle: Intense Ship Combat

Fleet Battle, as its name suggests, emphasizes ship combat over scavenging and exploration. In this mode, crews focus on taking out as many enemy squads as possible. Players can fire from their own ships or board enemy vessels to wreak havoc.

Artifacts spawn regularly to offer extra points, providing another strategic element while crews battle fiercely. The first team to reach 2,000 points wins the match.

### Additional Features in Emergence

Alongside the new modes, the *Emergence* update introduces several other additions:

– **The Resonator**: A new weapon that combines an energy cannon and grenade launcher.
– **Medic Drone**: A support tool to aid crews during combat.
– **Euphonic Spheres**: A new point-of-interest to discover.
– **Charlie, the New Prospector**: A playable character who brings enhanced support abilities.

Charlie offers unique skills, including the ability to instantly resurrect fallen allies and teleport through walls when not carrying an Artifact. She also has an unusual healing ability that allows her to recover through hazards that would normally inflict damage—such as shipboard disasters. For example, while fire typically harms players, it can actually heal Charlie as she works to put it out.

With the *Emergence* update, *Wildgate* offers fresh gameplay experiences that cater to both casual and competitive players alike. Whether you prefer strategic loot runs or all-out fleet combat, there’s something new to enjoy in this evolving galactic adventure.
