Jelly Roll has a brand-new look, and his wife didn’t hold back in sharing her thoughts about it. The singer revealed that he shaved off his beard for the first time in about a decade, marking a major change in his appearance.
On November 13, Bunnie Xo posted a video on Instagram documenting the beard shaving process. “You guys, I have been with my husband for going on 10 years now. I have never seen this man without his facial hair. Not one freaking time,” she said, capturing the moment with humor and affection.
She continued, “You guys know, as women, we get catfished,” while Jelly Roll laughed nearby, his beard still intact at that point. “We don’t know what the h*ll’s under there. My husband, in honor of his shoot that he did today, is going to shave off his beard completely because now that he’s so skinny, look at that freaking jawline! We wanna see that jawline, right, ladies?”
As the sound of a razor buzzing played in the background, Jelly Roll chimed in, “We’re trying to see if a face lift might be in order,” before stepping off camera. Meanwhile, Bunnie added with a laugh, “I’m not looking. I’m not looking, okay? He tried to just show me. I’m not looking until it’s all done.” She also mentioned, “He just kicked me out of the room.”
During the transformation, Jelly Roll experimented with a “goatee” before going fully clean-shaven. “Oh my gosh, baby, it looks really good,” Bunnie said about the goatee, though it didn’t last long. He also briefly rocked a “cop ‘stache,” which she called “fire,” before shaving that off too.
When it came to the final reveal, Bunnie concluded with a laugh, “The total naked face, it’s not terrible. It’s not terrible.” However, the video itself didn’t show Jelly Roll’s fully clean-shaven face, and his Instagram page currently has no photos.
Despite that, fans loved the video. One commenter wrote, “Oh BUNNIE! I loved watching this!!!!! Your smile is so contagious.”
