Traction Control became a significant feature in luxury cars during the late 1980s and early 1990s. However, Buick had utilized this technology years earlier, showcasing its forward-thinking approach. General Motors (GM) introduced advanced safety options such as airbags and ABS braking systems as far back as the 1970s. Despite their early introduction, these safety features did not gain widespread popularity until the 1990s.
In a related note, Paul Burke was a prominent star in the 1960s television shows “Naked City” and “12 O’clock High,” both produced by Quinn Martin.
