Elon Musk has responded to Mustafa Suleyman’s post, in which he slammed the critics of AI (Artificial Intelligence). He agreed with the Microsoft AI CEO, as he hailed the advancement in technology over the years. Ad AI has been growing rapidly in recent years, and Microsoft recently added the innovation to its products as well. Windows chief, Pavan Davuluri, shared a post on his social media accounts on November 10, explaining how they are turning Windows into an agentic OS using AI. He wrote: “Windows is evolving into an agentic OS, connecting devices, cloud, and AI to unlock intelligent productivity and secure work anywhere. Join us at #MSIgnite to see how frontier firms are transforming with Windows and what’s next for the platform. We can’t wait to show you!” Ad This, however, led to plenty of backlash as many feared the impact of AI and the security issues it might potentially pose. Microsoft AI chief, Mustafa Suleyman, responded to this backlash with a post on X (formerly Twitter) on November 19, writing: “Jeez there so many cynics! It cracks me up when I hear people call AI underwhelming. I grew up playing Snake on a Nokia phone! The fact that people are unimpressed that we can have a fluent conversation with a super smart AI that can generate any image/video is mindblowing to me.” Ad Mustafa Suleyman @mustafasuleyman Jeez there so many cynics! Ad Elon Musk responded to this post, commenting: “Good point” Elon Musk @elonmusk @mustafasuleyman Good point Ad Musk has himself been a big promoter of AI, having also helped develop an AI assistant named Grok, released in November 2023. He was part of a panel during the US-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington on Monday, November 17, 2025. Ad The xAI owner said: “I see poverty as more of an engineering problem than an unsolvable social issue. With Grok and Optimus, we could solve the labor shortage, drive costs to near zero, and create a future where poverty is statistically irrelevant. The scale of what’s coming over the next decade is really easy to underestimate.” Ad Further explaining his thought process behind why he thinks AI can eradicate poverty, Musk added: “Poverty can and will be eliminated, but envy is eternal.” The X owner added that in around the next two decades, currency will become irrelevant, saying: “Currency becomes irrelevant. There will still be constraints like electricity and mass, but money will stop being relevant. I don’t know what long-term is, maybe it’s 10, 20 years or something like that. My prediction is that work will be optional.” Ad Elon Musk also claimed that with all these advancements, work will become “optional”. He said people can grow their own vegetables and fruits, and indulge in other hobbies instead of buying groceries because they won’t need to. He added that AI and robotics, especially Optimus, will help bring this revolution. Optimus is a robot that Tesla has been working on, and it will help perform numerous tasks, including surgeries.
