Six homes ranging from “small and cozy to grand and elegant” will be showcased on the Vacaville Museum Guild’s annual Holiday Home Tour scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13. The tour begins at 9: 30 a. m. at the Vacaville Museum, 213 Buck Ave., with complimentary refreshments and a display of the door prize items participants have an opportunity to win, all dealing with the holiday season. “The six homes will elicit plenty of oohs and ahs, and will provide tour participants with a few new ideas to adapt to their own holiday décor,” said Coordinator Marian Chmieleski. “We have put in an order for cool, sunny weather,” she added. Said one homeowner: “I call my décor California Christmas . a blend of traditional and California style.” Ticket are $30 ($32 by credit card) and are available now at the Museum. Tickets are also available online at or by calling the museum at (707) 447-4513. Gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 4: 30 p. m., and Saturdays from 10 a. m. to 4: 30 p. m. Tickets are required for all attendees, including children. Note that photography is prohibited inside the homes and that neither strollers nor wheelchairs can be accommodated, Chmieleski added. Proceeds benefit the Vacaville Museum, which chronicles and showcases the history of Solano County through its displays.
