The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8Khz isn’t an entirely new model but rather an enhanced version of the previous Huntsman V3 Pro. Many of the strengths of the original 2023 keyboard still hold true. It continues to utilize lightweight Razer Analog Optical Switch Gen-2 keys, providing more measured actuation points and faster, precision keystrokes.
This model maintains the high performance of its predecessor with excellent typing quality and low latency, making it ideal for intense keyboard-and-mouse gaming sessions.
### What’s New? The 8Khz Polling Rate
While the previous Huntsman V3 Pro delivered solid performance, it’s the new features that truly set the 8Khz model apart. As its name suggests, this latest Huntsman boasts an 8Khz polling rate, which translates to a staggering 0.58 millisecond response time — Razer’s fastest keyboard to date.
Speed is the primary goal here. Users can customize the actuation points via Razer’s proprietary Synapse software, adjusting sensitivity between 0.1mm and 4.0mm. This flexibility enables ultra-responsive keystrokes, especially suited for Razer’s Rapid Trigger Mode and Snap Tap features.
### Personal Experience with Adjustable Actuation
I experimented with the lower actuation settings for a while but realized it wasn’t ideal for my daily workflow. Using this keyboard for Shacknews work, my larger fingers led to more unintended typos than usual. However, these flexible actuation options really shined when gaming.

Though Razer Synapse has been hit or miss for me in the past, the option to set up different profiles was a welcome addition. Even without deep configuration, the quick profile swap feature is incredibly user-friendly.
