**Honolulu Police Search for Suspect in Early Morning Chinatown Robbery**
Honolulu police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred early this morning in Chinatown.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., a 35-year-old man reported that he had just parked a Biki bike at the intersection of Smith and North Beretania streets. His backpack was hanging on the bike’s handlebars when an unknown male suspect approached him.
According to the report, the suspect threatened the man with a machete before fleeing the scene with the backpack.
Police described the suspect as a man in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was reportedly wearing black shorts, a black shirt, and a black hoodie, and was armed with a machete.
No arrests have been made at this time, as the investigation is ongoing. The case has been classified as a first-degree robbery.
