A homeless man was caught driving actor Jerry O’Connell’s classic 1979 Cadillac along the Pacific Coast Highway before the “Jerry Maguire” star even knew it was stolen.

Deputies from the LA County Sheriff’s Department spotted the vehicle speeding along the PCH on January 13 and pulled the driver over. Upon stopping the car, they discovered the driver didn’t have a driver’s license, registration, or proof of insurance, NBC 4 reported.

When questioned, the suspect claimed the car belonged to a family member but was unable to provide any proof. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was registered to Jerry O’Connell, the star of “Stand By Me,” and that it had been stolen from his Calabasas home.

The 1979 Cadillac, a symbol of old-school American luxury, was taken while O’Connell and his family were out of town. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
