**Indore Gears Up for Mega Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls**
Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Preparations are in full swing in Indore district for the upcoming mega Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Although the commencement date is yet to be finalized, the district administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a smooth and error-free process.
In a recent review meeting, block level officers (BLOs) were instructed to maintain the highest standards of accuracy while carrying out the revision work. Collector and District Election Officer Shivam Verma convened the meeting on Thursday with BLOs, block level supervisors, electoral registration officers, and assistant electoral registration officers from assembly constituencies No. 205 Indore-2, 206 Indore-3, 207 Indore-4, and 208 Indore-5.
Additional Collector and Deputy District Election Officer Pawar Navjeevan Vijay emphasized the importance of completing the revision work within the stipulated timeline and without any errors. Assistant Deputy District Election Officer Ajit Shrivastava also elaborated on the intricate details involved in the SIR process.
During the review, certain BLOs and supervisors who had not yet completed their assigned tasks were reprimanded. The progress of some supervisors was deemed unsatisfactory, and they were accordingly instructed to expedite their work and meet the deadlines promptly.
Looking ahead, a similar review meeting is scheduled for Friday with officers responsible for the remaining assembly constituencies in the district, aiming to ensure uniform progress across all areas.
The district administration’s proactive approach highlights its commitment to maintaining an accurate and up-to-date electoral roll ahead of forthcoming elections.
