Stalker 2 fans have been eagerly waiting for several important features to be added to the game, and one of them has just arrived. Update 1.6 introduced night vision goggles along with a new offset aiming feature.

If you’ve found that your longer-range scopes sometimes become a hindrance rather than a help, then this update might be just what you need. Well, kind of.

**How to Offset Aim in Stalker 2**

There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding the offset aiming mechanic, mainly because it is currently tied exclusively to the use of night vision goggles. That’s right—for now, you can only use offset aiming while wearing a pair of night vision goggles.

To use offset aim, simply aim your weapon as usual. Then, on keyboard, press the **Alt** key by default; on controller, press the **PDA** button by default. This will shift your weapon into an offset aiming position, allowing you to peek around cover or aim more effectively in certain situations.

Interestingly, some weapons without scopes automatically default to offset aiming when you are wearing night vision goggles. If you prefer to use iron sights without the offset, there is an upgrade called **NVG Adjustment** available from technicians. This upgrade allows you to use your iron sights flush, even while wearing night vision goggles.

As for why offset aiming is limited to use only with night vision goggles, it is currently unclear. However, it’s likely due to bugs arising from interactions with different sights across various weapons, which the developers may still be working to resolve.

For now, enjoy the new night vision goggles and the added tactical option of offset aiming in Stalker 2’s latest update!
