Sajid Nadiadwala has stepped down as the head of the Indian Film & TV Producers Council, making way for Ratan Jain to take over the reins. Jain, a veteran with over three decades of experience in Bollywood, previously led the organisation from 2010 to 2012.
The leadership transition occurred during the council’s 34th annual general meeting. In his farewell address, Nadiadwala emphasized the importance of fresh leadership, nominating Ratan Jain for the position. The nomination was met with unanimous approval from the council members.
The outgoing president was honoured with a bouquet presented by NR Pachisia and a memento from Jamnadas Majethia. Members applauded Nadiadwala’s tenure, though the council shared limited details regarding his specific achievements during his time in office.
Ratan Jain brings significant experience to his renewed role. As the head of Venus Group, he has produced several hit films including *Khiladi*, *Baazigar*, *Dhadkan*, *Humraaz*, and *Garam Masala*. His return marks a notable comeback following his previous tenure as the council’s head.
The newly elected board for the 2025–26 term also includes Jamnadas Majethia as chairman (TV & web), with directors NR Pachisia, Madhu Mantena, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Rajat Rawail, Shyamashis Bhattacharya, Nitin Vaidya, and Abhimanyu Singh. Ramesh Taurani will serve as honorary adviser.
As the industry continues to evolve in response to streaming trends and changing audience preferences, the council looks to Ratan Jain for guidance and leadership.
