Egypt Trying to Convince Hamas to Accept Trump’s Gaza Plan, Says Foreign Minister
Officials from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey are attempting to convince Hamas to agree to former President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan.
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad al-Thani met with Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Doha this past April, highlighting the close diplomatic efforts underway in the region.
Egypt, along with Qatar and the United States, has been central to recent attempts to reach a ceasefire and secure the release of hostages, according to reports.
